Built on strong foundations
Sparrow Shared Ownership Limited (Sparrow) was launched in August 2024 as a fully regulated Registered Provider of social housing (No. 4636), overseen by the Regulator of Social Housing.
We were created with a different model in mind. Sparrow is backed by an exclusive and direct investment from the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) - one of the UK's largest pension funds. This partnership gives us stable, long-term capital that matches the multi-decade nature of shared ownership.
Our roots link back to Sage Homes, who previously managed customers' homes. Sparrow builds on that foundation with a dedicated team and customer-first approach, while continuing to work with Sage during this transition.
As a Registered Provider, we're held to the highest standards of governance, financial viability, and service quality. That means we're accountable, not just to our customers, but also to the pensioners whose savings are invested in Sparrow - ensuring we always do right by both.
